Introduction

When I first was dealing with anemia, there didn’t seem to be many resources available.  Now there are books about it and that is so helpful, but there still seems to be a great lack of first person experience in dealing with chronic anemia on the internet.  I know what I needed was a PERSON who had gone through it to show me I wasn’t the only one dealing with it.  I wanted to see that there was hope in treating ether medically or naturally.  I found one good website that had support and lots of first person accounts of going through the medical process of iron infusions, but it required scrolling and scrolling.  New messages were lost in old messages and most newcomers started with the top messages first and would reply to them as if they were new comments and not old comments.  I was longing for something where I could search specifically and see comments in order of when they were posted.  I’ve walked the anemia road, mostly without support or anyone to advise me and now seem to be on the other side of it.  I no  longer need to go searching for information or support for my own issue.  Now it is my turn to offer help to others who are on their own search for answers. I plan to continue studying the topic so I can bring articles and links in which might be helpful to those who are still in the battle.  I hope the information I present will help someone know what questions to ask their doctors and will give them information to treat naturally if they choose to go that route.  My wish is to help someone feel they aren’t dealing with the problem alone.  My intention is not to give medical advice but to share my experience and let others know they have options for treating, what to expect when treating medically or naturally, and to give them the encouragement to get through the process and on to feeling better. There is hope.  You are definitely not alone!
